Stephanie and Peter's backyard wedding was absolutely beautiful! After several pandemic-related delays, they finally decided that now was the time and they didn't want to wait any longer to get married. Even with the threat of gloomy weather, their wedding day was absolutely stunning and spent surrounded by all of their loved ones.

Backyard weddings are some of my favorites to photograph because everything feels very grounded and sentimental. When planning their wedding, Stephanie and Peter prioritized spending time with all their family and friends.

Once Stephanie had gotten ready, she shared an emotional first look with her father. After their short and sweet ceremony they did some formals in front of the barn and enjoyed cocktail hour with everyone. We also did some portraits of just the two of them on a forest trail behind their house that they actually wore down themselves from walking their dogs on the same path every day (SO much of their history was present during their wedding day, it was amazing!)

Supporting local businesses is so important to them, so a lot of the vendors they hired were local to Easton, MA, and surrounding. Stephanie went a few days earlier and handpicked all of her florals from Langwater Farm, including her favorites - sunflowers and dahlias. They also had a Chinese buffet catered by Ming Du (which, by the way, more weddings should cater Chinese food, just saying!)

I love the simplistic yet chic style of all the decor they chose for their reception tent. Everything has this homemade feel to it which makes it all the more special. Stephanie's favorite flowers are sunflowers and because their wedding was in October she wasn't sure if they'd still be around in time, so I was so excited to see that not only did she get plenty of sunflowers for her bouquet, but she also had a ton to decorate with!

This reception was so relaxed and so much fun! Everyone was so emotional and joyful, and most importantly, Stephanie and Peter looked like they were having the time of their lives celebrating with all of their loved ones!
